Whitney Hendrickson, M.S., CCC-SLP

Words Like Honey was founded by Whitney Hendrickson in 2025. Originally from Missouri, Whitney relocated with her husband to Middle Tennessee in 2021 and has fallen in love with the area. 

She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Science and Disorders  from the University of Missouri in 2017 and a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Arkansas  in 2019.

After providing speech therapy services over the past 7 years (1 year as a speech-language pathology assistant and 6 years as a licensed, ASHA certified speech-language pathologist), Whitney decided to offer another option for families and organizations in the Middle TN area (and beyond) to address communication needs of the little ones in their lives. 

After working in early intervention and public school systems (in-person and virtually), Whitney has seen the value of a full team approach in helping an individual reach their full communicative potential and wants to bring that to Words Like Honey. Words Like Honey will place a focus on empowering the individual to make gains in their communication skills, while simultaneously empowering the community around a child to help them continue to grow. 

Whitney is excited to continue building connections in the community through Words Like Honey, but in her spare time, you may find her spending time with her husband, daughter and two Texas cattle dogs, listening to a good audio book/podcast, or frequenting a local coffee shop.
