Words Like Honey offers personalized speech-language therapy for children and teens (ages 2-18), with flexible options to fit your family’s needs.

Consultation

Free 15-30 minute phone or video consultation to address parent concerns, determine if formal speech therapy is needed, and discuss potential strategies to use to address concerns.

Evaluation

An evaluation using standardized testing, informal measures, and/or observation are provided to determine your child’s areas of strengths and needs in terms of their communication.

Screening

If you would like the SLP to directly interact with your child to determine if there is a concern warranting an evaluation, a brief speech-language screening can be completed in-person or via video conference to determine if further evaluation is needed. This screening will be administered for a fee that will go towards the cost of an evaluation should one be completed.

Treatment

Meaningful, child-focused therapy sessions are provided in your home, the community, or virtually through teletherapy to help address individualized goals to boost communication skills. Therapy sessions typically consist of one or two 30-minute sessions a week; however, therapy is tailored to your child’s needs and the recommended time may vary. While child-focused, sessions are also used to help parents continue to help their child outside of therapy – with parent participation highly encouraged.
